To remember is to build memory

Organised by the Education Service of the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) and presented in the museum’s Communication area in 1997.

To remember is to build memory is the name of the exhibition showing the work carried out by primary and secondary school students during the 1996-97 academic year, based on their visits to the MACBA. It also features the materials that the museum’s Education Service has produced inspired by its dialogue with education centres.

To remember is to build memory becomes, therefore, a synthesis of the work carried out by the museum’s Education Service from its creation, in 1995, to the 1997-98 academic year.
